The Physiotherapy Board has a range of resources for education providers, students, new graduates and interested others to assist in understanding what it means to be a registered physiotherapist in Australia.
If you are enrolled in an approved program of study you do not need to apply for registration. Education providers will automatically pass on your details to the Board for registration. No fees are required.
The Board will register you for the duration of study or clinical training in physiotherapy, or until you are no longer enrolled.
You can visit AHPRA’s Student Registration page for more information.
The approved programs of study can be found on the Accreditation page.
This video is relevant to physiotherapy students who are nearing the completion of their approved programs of study in Australia and will soon be seeking general registration as an physiotherapist or physical therapist.
